OMEGA 30T2PC solid rose gold Dennison case​ ref 13322, mens hand winding watch, 1950s

Here we have a classic Omega handwind mens watch, with an original dial and 9 karat solid rose gold Dennison unpolished case. Was purchased from the UK years ago.

This timepiece happens to be a 1950's UK import watch. Manufactured during a span that constituted some of Omega's finest production and achievements,  a time when Dennison happened to be making some of the finest gold watch cases in the UK. For much of the previous century there were import restrictions on higher valued items in many countries throughout the world; the United Kingdom was no exception. Some manufacturers, such as Omega, sought to get around these limitations by having a local company case their bare movements in domestically made, primarily solid gold, cases. This case shows the full import codes of the Birmingham, England assay office, along with the 9 karat stamp and ALD initials (Dennison's founder, Aaron Lufkin Dennison).
 With this piece, you aren't just getting a high quality timepiece, but a historical piece in its own right. 
The rose gold case has normal wear for 76 y.o. watch, with signs, dents and scratches on upper lugs, unpolished, in good overall condition, better than in photos. The white dial, is the old original (never repainted), with a lot of patina signs; the original gold hands are in very good condition. Original signed crown. New aftermarket strap.
The manual winding  movement cal. 30T2PC (15 jewels), is  in very good condition; has been checked and adjusted and works with very good accuracy.

This watch was received by Dennison and cased for sale probably in 1952.
I will accept a reasonable offer. If the watch is sold outside the EU, a lower value will be declared for customs.
