oils are Gamvar
varnished, wood panel (cradled pieces can be hung as is or framed, flat
wood panels can be framed or propped, watercolour images are presented
in an acid free mount ready for framing). Please note I do not sell
prints of oil painting works, prints are not paintings and lose much of
their character in print, listed works are original and each is OOAK
unique. I only use the best quality fine archive quality artists materials, and
traditional techniques, Old Holland Paints, Gamvar finishing varnish,
michael Harding, archive/acid free papers, arches French watercolour
paper etc.
I wander the woods and scour the tideline for the treasures of the earth and the jewels of the sea.
My
current work explores a very close focus perspective. Renderings
in sketchbooks become textured porcelain bead forms and abstract realist
paintings in oil on wood panel. My most recent work intertwines with tanka poems.
