Extremely rare original baseball photo featuring the Panamanian former Negro League star infielder Clyde Parris while playing for the Montreal Royals, the Brooklyn Dodgers AAA farm team. During that season, Clyde Parris won the batting championship of the International Baseball League.
Clyde Parris also played in the Negro Leagues for the New York Black Yankees and the Baltimore Elite Giants.
Parris was a real good ball player who should have played in the MLB, but who never get the credit he deserved because of his skin color.
The photo was taken by David Bier a famous sport photograph in Montreal during the 1950’s.
Great addition to any baseball collection.
