For sale is a tin friction 1950's firetruck made by Yoshiya (KO) of Japan. The fire engine measures 16 1/2 inches long and it is complete and all original. It is in very good, played with condition. This is one of the nicest of the large firetrucks made in Japan in the 1950's. It is beautifully designed and has great color and graphics. This firetruck displays well but it does have its share of scratches, rubs, bumps, small dings, etc. I have had this firetruck for years and I did nothing to touch up the paint or make any paint repairs but I do notice a few small spots of touch up that could be factory done. The truck has two ladders that measures 11 inches each. I couldn't get a good picture of the the truck with the ladder fully extended because I couldn't fit the image into my camera's frame. The ladder will stand upright or horizontally but it will not hold in a less than 90 degree angle. The friction motor works well and the tires and wheel covers are in excellent condition. I really love this firetruck; it is not perfect but it is a nice, complete firetruck from one of the best of 1950's Japanese makers. The last photo is from Teruhisa Kitahara's great Wonderland of Toys, page 86. The second photo shows the firetruck with two other firetrucks I have for sale this week. Thanks for looking!!!!
