The original painting was created by painter James Homer Brown in the 1970s. The inspiration for the
painting came from the year he decided to plant 70 rose bushes! James
Homer Brown created colorful oil paintings for over sixty years,
starting when he was very young. His subjects included colorful
carousels, science fiction aliens, geometric abstracts and BIG roses.
He painted on
either canvas or Masonite. He received numerous awards including Second
Place for the Annual Gold Medal Show held at the prestigious and
historic Scarab Club in metro Detroit. His geometric abstracts were
owned by one of the world's top art collectors. In his later years, he
was the Artist in Residence at an art gallery in Royal Oak, Mi.
