Parents both proceeded in life by Father Wilbur Floyd and Mother Frankie Williams Floyd. Dona was born June 14th,1944 in Fort Worth, TX and died August 10th, 2023. Dona graduated at Mount Carmel High School in 1962. She married Ken Kimmons Sr on December 29, 1979 in Houston, TX. She is survived by her husband Ken Kimmons Sr, brother Craig Shelton, daughter Sherryl Lynn Bolton, granddaughters Shauna Gattis, Jamie Trotter, grandson James Garmen, great grandchildren, Kenzi Jones, Jacob Redding, Cayden Johnston, Kylie Johnston, Brayden Garman, Rowan Garman. Dona and Ken came to Wimberley in 1979, built their house in 1985 on Cypress Creek.

Dona was a long time standing member of the Wimberley chapter D.A.R.

    Dona (Floyd) Vance Kimmons is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, DAR #0763837, Elijah Cornwall, Revolutionary War Soldier, a member of this family. There are also DAR records for Luke Williams, b. 1738, Halifax, Virginia, located at the National Headquarters of the DAR in Washington, D.C. I also have the DAR BARKSDALE records from Washington, D.C.on Luke Williams, b. 1738, Va.
    This family are also members of Americans of Royal Descent, Colonial Dames, Dames of Magna Carta, and DAR. Their descent traces back to King Edward III, King John Plantagenet, Queen Eleanor Plantagenet, Charlemagne, as proven in the book "The Royal Descent of 600 Immigrants".
    A DNA study on this family was done before 1980 by REID, WILLIAMS, MORGAN, GREER, SANDIFER, BEARDEN, MCKENZIE, Y. JOHNSTON, HALCOMB, MCGUIRE, CAMERON AND STEWART, proving the male and female DNA of this family back to James Williams, 1500's, Morgan Williams/Cromwell, Cornwall, England, Roger Williams, b. 1700, Va. founder of Rhode Island, on the Williams family and all of their descendants. This DNA study was given to me, Dona (Floyd) Vance in 1985. Dona Floyd's DNA matched Roger Williams, b. 1700, Va. and her daughter, Sheryl (Sanders) Bolton, also matched. Dona's DNA matches Richard (Percy) Lane, 1500's, part of this Williams family, Richard Lane, Royal Descent.
    The Williams Family History Book, 1974, author, Dona (Floyd) Vance has been placed in libraries in Monticello, Jasper County, Georgia, the Chamber of Commerce,, Jasper County, Georgia, the Clayton Library, Houston, Texas, the Ft.
