This telephone works in conversation, rings, and dials out when the polarity is correct. It functions just as a 1702B from Western Electric and is not affected by the fact it was manufactured in Canada. The housing was replaced with Western Electric housing as the original housing was for 12-button telephones. Handset is slightly darker than the base, but not by much. The phone lights up if you have a transformer, which is not included.

Shipping cost covers the cost of the label (eBay charges $14.00 for Medium Flat Rate USPS boxes), transportation to the post office, and bubble wrap and/or paper, packing peanuts, or whatever seems appropriate to ship your telephone. I always make sure to never ship a phone with its handset directly cradled to its base as doing so can damage the phone.
