i am so thrilled to offer this  beautiful HUGE 12k Rose Gold Cased Repousse Heart photo Locket  on a fine curb link gold fill  chain ..the locket has swirls and scrolls so typical of ART NOUVEAU ..that flowing design.. the back is plain .. 

THE VERY LARGE LOCKET IS THAT PINK ROSE GOLD OF OLD.and the locket is marked C Q&R a top quality maker from times past. 

CARTER QVARNSTROM & REMINGTON from Attleboro MA from 1896 to 1915 last known record.

. its gold shell or gold cased meaning the exterior is a thick lush layer of solid gold  the back is engraved in Olde Worlde Script

It closes with a nice click, both photo retainers inside 

The chain is a fancy curblink with a bolt ring closure and total weight is over 10 grams 

THIS IS A VERY LARGE LOCKET AND MEASURES  3.5cm or 1 3/8” DROP , from top of tiny bale but not hang ring by 3cm or app 1 1/4” WIDE AND THE CHAIN IS APP 53cm or 21” LONG ,

MEASUREMENTS  & DESCRIPTION

LOCKET.. . The locket has the old celluloid covers either side and retainers closes with a click,the front has no dings or dents the back has a few light indentations due to its vast age ..but not visible from the front when wearing . The front raised repousse centre had a tiny bit of age wear to the solid gold shell on the point ..but hard to see due to the shiny reflection It is engraved in Olde Worlde Script the initials GMG .. but looks more like a design

 WATCH CHAIN: fine curblink chain with bolt ring closure ,  

Weight:  over 10 grams..

OVERALL in   Both in excellent antique condition considering their vast age... few little depressions on back, hence the price is adjusted accordingly as these normally get in the mid to high hundreds due to their rarity from this maker    

I test all diamonds and stones and gold with electronic testers, but prior to 1907 gold was not required to be hallmarked. All gemstones will test the same whether they are natural or manmade except for diamonds . All rings are measured accurately with jewellers tools.
