This great material comes from So. Africa. It is very hard, and takes a beautiful polish. Cut properly, it will display an "eye", called Chatoyancy. The red color is caused by heating the yellow variety. Largest is 4.5" x 5" x 1.6" thick, and together they weigh 7.50 lbs.    EXCELLENT PIECES!
