Over 2.5 Million W124 units were sold from 1985 through 1996 worldwide. In my opinion I think these are some of the most durable cars built, add the styling and I don't think you can duplicate this with any other automobile. The design is timeless in every body configuration that was offered. Finding low mileage survivors is almost impossible as these cars were bought to be driven and commuted. There are still several third world countries using these every single days for taxi cabs, police cars and municipal vehicles. This particular stunning example has traveled just over 58,000 miles from new which translates to just over 1700 miles per year. It is a limited ownership vehicle and has been in the Traverse City region since new. This has definitely not been a year round driver as thing is clean, clean, clean. There is absolutely zero rust and rot, the interior is leather and not Tex which I feel is pretty rare for these cars. The exterior is in excellent shape with the exception of a small dent under passenger taillight and a scuff mark on passenger front side bumper. Both items you have to search and look for. The interior on this car is absolutely amazing with no stains, smells or any real wear to even the seats. The wood and all buttons are intact and everything appears to be in good working order. All the lights/gauges work with no dummy lights on the dash. It starts up easy, is very quiet and goes down the road so nice and smooth. Everything feels very tight with nothing rattling or squeaking and is just a very classy ride for the money. We welcome and questions or inspections and do not expect this car to be around long
