MANTRA SCROLL BY BUDDHA
The Mantra is a condensed formula made up of a series of sounds repeated many times following a certain rhythm.
The Mantra is based on the power of sound.
It is through the vibration of sound and its resonance that sound transforms its environment, as well as the people who recite it.
As the mantra is repeated many times in order to produce an effect, it therefore introduces the notion of cycle and repetition.
In the Vajrayana tradition, Mantras are considered precious relics of Buddhism.
How to use these Mantra scrolls
According to ancient Tibetan tradition, it is enough to:
- place one or more Mantra scrolls in a sacred object such as statue, stupa, etc., the Devas or Deities will come and worship them several times a day, thus causing the purification of the place.
- place one or more Mantra scrolls in a bell, so the simple sound of this bell will purify and protect the Karma of the listeners.
These Mantra scrolls can also be carried on one's person, protected in a pouch or case.
All these Mantra scrolls come from monasteries in Nepal or Tibet.
