The camcorder itself works, but there is a caveat to it. Either the battery is dead and not holding a charge, or the power unit itself is not charging the battery. The camcorder does not work with the battery inside of it. The camcorder does work, however, if you plug in the cord that comes out from the port that says “see manual VCR”. I was able to turn the camcorder on, zoom in and use various other buttons. I took two photographs using my camera looking through the camcorder. One is of my oven in my kitchen and one is of my dish strainer. I did not have a VHS tape, so I was not able to record. I cannot fully state if the camcorder is entirely functional, but it does turn on, and all of the functions I tried are in working order.

The hard shell case is not in great shape. A good amount of the padding on the inside is crumbling away or falling apart. I tried to do my best to highlight this in some of the photographs. The case also comes apart into three different pieces. When the camcorder is locked inside, the case will stay locked in place, but if the case is unlatched, there is potential for the pieces to come apart if they are slid out. I showed this in a few of the photographs.
