We are selling on
behalf of the owner a superb restored 1999 Mini Cooper MPi
This Mini had a
complete restoration during 2014-2015 for the current owner by us
Since then it has
covered only 2600 miles & been serviced & MOT’d each year. Garaged so
is still in superb condition.
Sadly due to ill
health they can no longer drive the Mini so have decided
it’s time to pass it
to a new owner.
They purchased this
Mini in April 2001 from “Crown Garage” in Soham , Cambridgeshire. It has one
previous owner. So they have owned it for 23 years.

was a Rover Main Dealer, prior to this a Austin Main Dealer. Crown are now a Honda Main
dealer & have been in Soham for as long as I can remember.
This was not the
ladies first Mini ,she previously had a 1990 Mayfair which we also serviced
& looked after, we have know this lady since May 1996.
This Mini was used to
commute to her job as Post Office worker and over the 13 years of regular use it
covered 85,000 miles.
In 2014 like so many Mini drivers she decided it was time for a large car,
since she & her husband loved this Mini so much
they decided to have it
fully restored so they could use it for nice days out and just look at it!
Who are “Dean’s Minis” – Dean has been a Classic Mini Specialist for 34 years, original known as “Mr Mini” from 1990-2000
when BMW decided they did not like anyone using the Mini name & artwork so after receiving a rather frightening letter from BMW’s solicitors we decided to change the name to “Dean’s Minis” which is perfectly acceptable.
We have been based in Soham, Cambridgeshire since 1994,
Dean is still the owner & still loves working on Minis. We very rarely get involved with sales these days since we are so booked up with restorations, repairs and everything Mini.
However since we know this lady so well and we restored this Mini plus looked after it for so many years we felt it was only right we dealt with the sale.
We have a full photo file of the restoration which will come on a USB stick for the new owner, the lady has also kept a very good history file of invoices & MOTs.
The Mini drives superbly & is as factory specification apart from the tyres which are now Yokohama 165/60x12 (they do look far better than those thinner tyres!) & the Radio is a new model.
The Mini is as clean underneath as it is on top, it was stripped to a bare shell for the restoration, only genuine Heritage panels were used, all bushes, mounts etc where renewed, everything cleaned & refitted. The steering wheel was even sent away & refurbished.
Excellent History file as can be seen in photo, all MOT certificates, original owners manual, all paper work & 2 sets of keys
Tyres were all replaced in 2022 due to age not wear. Mini currently undergoing its annual service & will have a new MOT.
