Travel back in time with this 1960s Silvertone electric guitar. Built by the late, great Danelectro in New Jersey.

It's a model 1452. Two single-coil pickups. Red finish. Silvertone Hornet style body. Vibrato arm (aka whammy bar).

It has a built-in amp inside the hard case. The amp has tremelo with adjustable speed and strength. It also has its original foot pedal and 1/4" amp cord.

I powered the amp up gradually over two days with a Variac. Wonderfully, the amp still works. As it's about 60 years old, I wouldn't be surprised if the amp could soon use servicing. But it works.

Cosmetically, it is in very good condition. It has some minimal age and play wear, but looks very good. There's a finish knick on the top side edge of the headstock, below the "t" of the Silvertone logo. I got it from the widow of the original owner. It's been stored on the main floor of a air conditioned and heated, smoke-free and pet-free, home for all these years.

The action is great: around 5/64'' on both sides.

It's a classic All-American instrument and amp, ready to play.
