This 1946 Mercury Eight coupe is powered by a 239ci flathead V8 and transfers power to the rear wheels with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Production of the second generation was halted in early 1942 due to WW2, but manufacturing restarted for the 1946 model year. The second generation finally ended production in 1948 and was replaced by the Third Generation Mercury Eight.
