This two piece Bohemian, hand painted enameled art glass vase set is beautifully decorated with a European noble couple. Possibly Anna of Austria and the King of Poland, Sigismund II Augustus.

For such a small scale in the artwork of this smitten couple, there's an incredible amount of hand painted detailing.

 

The mould blown baluster shape is a unique fire opal brown glass colour. No pontil. The rim is cut.

 

Maker unknown. Contenders could be Harrach, Josphinenhutte, or another Bohemian glasshouse.

Circa. 1885-90's.

Each vase is 11-3/4" tall. The rim is 4" diameter. The base is 4-1/2" diameter. 5" wide, at best.

The wooden base is not included.
