A characteristic Tunisian short sword/large knife from the early 20th C. The blade is of dagger form, double-edged with a small medial ridge and a decorated and pierced central panel. There is a short brass band wrap at forte. The hilt is multicolored horn decorated with insets of small brass circles and dots of coral. There is a brass guard with short knuckle bow, and a brass cap to the pommel. The full tang is peined over the end of the pommel. The guard has a small amount of play.
