All three stamps share the motif of music and the motif of Czech folk art. Each of the stamps features a landscape thematically assigned to one of the compositions from Smetana’s My Country cycle. 

The folk motifs are depicted in flat colour. These are embroideries from men’s costumes from the region of Smetana’s birthplace, Litomyšl, with motifs from a man’s waistcoat made of white linen and embroidered with cornflower blue cotton.
