The autobiographical account of a young platoon leader in the Mekong Delta in 1966-68. A brutal, unforgiving area in which to conduct counter-insurgency operations against the VC and NVA, and a war that the author realized early on was likely unwinnable and even unnecessary. A very frank and uncensored view of the war, with much jarring and personal detail included. This 2004 Hardcover is in good condition, with no internal markings other than a slight yellowing of the pages, and a dust jacket with nominal wear.
