A 70s or 80s vintage dark brown vinyl faux croc skin cassette tape carry case. It could also be used to hold other items like artists' paint brushes or make up.

It measures 11" x 3.5" x 4.5".

It is in good condition with just a little light wear. There is a mark on the inside, please see pics. I'm not sure if there was a key with it originally.
