Myott & Son 1945-1952 Lidded Vegetable Dish & & Gravy Boat 

This vintage Myott & Son serving set includes a lidded vegetable dish and gravy boat in their iconic 1108 laurel-leaf inspired design. Produced in England between 1945 and 1952, these pieces are made of glossy porcelain and feature a hand-painted back stamp.

An elegant simple pattern of hand painted variegated laurels of green leaves encircle the gravy boat, vegetable dish and lid. Each piece has a raised floral motif appearing with ribbed scalloped edging spaced at even intervals.

There is also an elegant four leaf clover shaped finial to the vegetable dish lid surrounded by a gilded leaf design.

Silver coloured gilded edging appears on both pieces.

This set is perfect for adding a touch of post-war design to your dining table. 

The set consists of a lidded vegetable dish and a gravy boat.

In good condition for its age and commensurate with use with no cracks or chips.

***Please Note: There is crazing to the front and back of the gravy boat and vegetable dish lid. Some minor surface scratches to the vegetable dish.

There are minor losses to the silver coloured gilded rim on the vegetable dish. Three non-glaze marks on the reverse of the lid evident probably from the firing process.

Non-glaze marks on the underside of the vegetable dish lid and to the side of the dish from the firing process.

Some discolouration to the inside of the vegetable dish through use and a spot where the glaze has bubbled.***
