ITEM DESCRIPTION

Please note: I have added 51 large photos to the end of this listing to try and show the items in as much detail as possible so please take the time to view them all carefully.

This is a really nice antique 9 piece silver topped vanity set in its own bespoke brown crocodile leather case. The case has a nice gilt embossed J.J. monogram on the lid.

Each piece is partially made from sterling silver which has been engraved with the initials JJ. Although this is a matching set, some of the hallmarks on the pieces have different dates and makers. All pieces have the Assay mark for Birmingham.

This set includes:
A shoehorn (hallmarked 1922, maker's mark is obscured)
A hand mirror (hallmarked 1917 with maker's mark HM)
A button hook (hallmarked 1922 with maker's mark AB Ld)
A hair comb (hallmarked 1921 with maker's mark WG S Ltd)
A hair brush (hallmarked 1917 with maker's mark HM)
2 shoe brushes (both hallmarked 1920 with maker's mark HM)
A long jar (lid hallmarked 1923 with maker's mark AB Ld)
A short jar (lid hallmarked 1923 with maker's mark AB Ld).

I have NOT weighed all the sterling silver parts as I will NOT be selling this for scrap. It is too good for that.

A very nice antique pressie for someone with the initials JJ.

Please see close-up photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition for yourself.
Condition report: Normal signs of age and use wear including some surface scuffs and minor impact marks etc.
There may be some dints in the silverware and some nibbles on the glassware.
The shoehorn does have some tarnishing on the steel.

The outer crocodile leather case is scuffed and has a small cut on the base about 2 inch long.

Key included and the lock is in WORKING condition.

The case measures approx. 14 inches x 10 and 1/2 inches x 4 and 1/2 inches.

Postage policies:

International overseas buyers please read this first - I use Global Shipping Program - GSP to send items to you.
GSP sorts any paperwork etc. which enables items to get through customs much faster than other delivery company.

I am offering FREE postage to the GSP hub in the UK.
GSP then decide on the cost of shipping, sales tax, and possible other charges etc. - All this information can found on the listing BEFORE bidding or buying.
I have no control over the prices that GSP set.

Unfortunately GSP do open the packages they receive to check the contents and then re-wrap them for the forward journey to you. This has caused some issues in the past so please take my word that I personally wrap all items as best I can to survive the trip, but GSP sometimes do not take as much care as I do when re-wrapping.

The shipping time is usually very quick but as you can appreciate there may be delays for any number of reasons which are out of both mine and your control. Thank you.

I now offer FREE shipping - postage on the majority of my eBay items. You can also arrange to COLLECT your item from my actual antique shop if that is easier for you.

To see ALL my other 7000+ items for sale, please click on VISIT SHOP or see other items. Strangely, both options seem to only give a limited view of what I have to offer, so to see everything I have available, click on Shop by Category which will give you a much better view.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal sized Coke can (330ml).

If you see A/F = a/f in the title or description it means "as found" condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage. In relation to all my listings it does not mean " about fine ". I have used A/F  for " as found " for 45 years.
