True Vintage skirt suit from the wartime 1930's - 1940's.  No holes, tears, stains or odors.  Maker's cloth label at upper back.  National Recovery Board label attached to jacket lining.  Original metal TALON zipper at left waist works perfectly.  Fabric is wool which may have a gabardine weave.  Color is a medium warm brown.  Jacket is lined with brown fabric.  A tailoring plus is sewn-in guards at armholes which are of the same fabric as the lining.  Skirt is unlined and closes with hooks and eyes.  Med/large shoulder pads.  Basic, but well-tailored.  Hem is finished with tape and has no fabric allowance.  Notched lapel collar.  Carved plastic buttons on front.  Jacket has patch pockets on front which have pocket flaps.  This was probably a "utility" garment made during wartime with patterns and methods that were attractive but conserved fabric.  My schedule does not allow me to accept returns so I try to describe items accurately and in detail.  Measurements were taken lying flat and are approximate.  Please compare to a garment that fits you well and ask any questions you may have.  Thank you!
