ITEM: Original Snapshot Photo of SILAS PONTIUS (Marvin's dad) in HORSE & BUGGY CARRIAGE outside FERNDALE, WASHINGTON, circa 1912.

Photo is from the family of Marvin Henry Pontius. The Pontius family was originally from Sturgis, Michigan. At least by 1910 they moved to Ferndale, Washington. Marvin was a US Army soldier stationed in San Francisco from 1917-1918.
