King Penn Industries have finally released the Windrestrictor for the Mazda Miata. Because of an overwhelming number of requests from Miata owners the new project release date was bumped up several months. KPI’s patent pending technologies have made top down driving not only a comfortable experience, but a personalized one as well.

King Penn will introduce the world’s first fully personalized wind deflector for the Mazda Miata MX5 convertible. Manufactured from durable, translucent materials the new Miata Windrestrictor® provides the functionality of other wind screens, but with little to no decreased visibility. A special powder-coated steel bracket system was designed so that the Wind Restrictor would snap in place on the rear panel of the Miata. The new product is taller than the OEM version and provides more protection against back draft inside the roadster’s cabin. The Miata WindRestrictor is a unique, stylish, and gorgeous custom product and should be at the top of every Miata Owner’s wish list. Optional laser engraved graphics are applied to the surface allowing Miata Owner’s to set their cars apart from the rest on the road. Also available for the new Windrestrictor® are ambient lighting options that produce an elegant glow to the graphics and around the perimeter of the glass. Multiple colors and accessories will be available. The new design will allow for full top movement and will not need to be adjusted or removed with the top up. KPI spent a lot of time on this mounting system. We know as well as you that cheap velcro straps do not belong on these beautiful convertibles. We can not count the times that customers have told us horror stories about the cheaper built products out there that eventually turn yellow, fade and barely stay on their car at high speeds.     WINDRESTRICTOR® is owned by King Penn Industries, Inc. of Dallas Texas.

    The brand and products were created by Robert King Pennington in 2006 when he wanted to reduce wind turbulence inside his convertible while driving with the top down. He was not happy with the less than quality options available to him on the market at the time. 

    Robert designed, tested and brought to market a fascinating product that would later take the market by storm.

    In 2007 Robert passed away at 27 years old and his loving family took on the responsibility of carrying out his dreams of being a successful business owner who valued his customers above all else.
