This is a small oil painting on canvas in the manner of Philips Wouwerman, Haarlem 1619 - 1668. The painting is 19th century or possibly earlier & has been re-mounted on its wood frame. Depicting a group of soldiers and women with stray dogs beside a fountain in a market square. The painting is one of a pair.
