Antique 19th Century Chinese Rice Pith Paper Painting

 

This is a good quality, pretty little Chinese antique rice/pith paper painting, featuring a scholar at a green covered desk with his pupil.  Colours are strong and vibrant, there is some foxing and discolouration on the paper – please see all photos.

 Simple black frame which is probably original and has seen better days.  The back has the original portrait and landscape hanging hooks, plus an additional metal stand to allow it to be free standing.

Frame measures approx. 18cm x 12.5cm
