A late 17^th or early18th century wall clock with 6 3/4” square brass engraved dial, unsigned.

Well made posted frame movement.

Nicely turned brass posts to the frame suggesting a West Country origin

Dial with matted dial centre and with small cherub spandrels.

Very nice original steel hour hand with alarm setting dis behind.

Movement with original sheet iron back plate upon which is mounted the original alarm mechanism

Anchor escapement with long pendulum.

The clock is in good working order and is complete with pendulum, drive weight and wall hanging bracket.

The movement is in really remarkably original condition.

The clock is in running order.

Selling as trying downsize clock collection.

Condition.

The movement is in good original untouched condition with old patina although it is slightly dusty. Maybe could do with a light cleaning.

There is some wear to the pinion leaves but this does not interfere with the running of the clock .

The escapement functions correctly

The movement is complete.

Drive weights and long pendulum with wall bracket included.

One of the lower dial feet (lugs) is missing but this does not affect the security of the dial attachmet to any significant degree.
