D24100-1.   Created in the 1920s, it was supposed to be a cross between a ukelele and a violin.  Made to be used on a tabletop, it's played with a bow like a violin (a bow in included here, but it will need a new string).  Frequently sold by traveling salesmen in the 1920s and through the Great Depression, people were told it was easy to play when that's not the case.  Due to this, their popularity waned throughout the 20th century until 1972, when the last one was manufactured.  They were sold early on door to door for $35 to $40; this one has a price tag of $35 on it so it was probably one of the ones sold in the late 1920's to the early 30's.  All strings are intact.  The instrument appears to be solid. I found no cracks or damage. The original varnish shows heavy crinkling.  Comes with instructions and sheet music geared toward the machine.

It measures approximately 28 inches long by 8 inches wide and 1 and 3/4 inch thick.

Please look over the pictures for the condition of the item. I am no expert on musical instruments but I believe this one is solid. Please ask any questions prior to purchase.
