1954 Franklin Half-Dollar Graded by NGC at PF 67 struck at the Philadelphia Mint.

Comments
1954 Proof Franklin half dollar has been certified by NGC with a grade of PF 67. The coin is composed of silver with a fineness of 0.9 and has a strike type of proof. It features the image of Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and an Eagle on the reverse. This coin was minted in Philadelphia and is considered uncirculated with a proof strike with a superior Superb Gem + grade. The coin is encapsulated in an NGC holder and boasts an original look with blast white centers and some light vintage toning on the edges.  The Franklin half dollar had a shortened life of only 15 years (only 13 years for proofs) due to the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963.  In 1964, the Franklin half dollar was replaced by the Kennedy half.  This Franklin half dollar is an excellent addition to any coin collection and a great piece of American history and is a great value considering its attractive vintage look.
