This quirky drawer box is quite light-weight, apparently made for the carved Indian elephant panel, not the other way around.  It is painted in Laura Ashley Pale French Grey and Dove Grey but is shabby in that the paint doesn't quite hide the bumps and bruises.

It appears to be a blonde plywood over a softwood frame with glass over the front of the carved panel.  The glass front can be removed for cleaning by loosening the screw on the frame.  The stubby legs have insets which does make it look like it used to be part of something else but I am really not sure.  It would look lovely on a counter in a bigger kitchen than mine to store something like tea-towels.  My mum suggested using it for spices.  :)

It measures approximately 62cm wide by 30.5cm deep and 24cm tall.
