A Very Attractive Antique Brass and Cut Crystal Glass Chandelier

Date: probably late 19th century - very early 20th century, or Edwardian era....but no later.

This charming and impressive light is not quite complete (see 'condition' below) and is therefore sold as a very worthwhile project for tidying / finishing.

Handsome proportions and good inherent quality, reflective of the era....and so much nicer than modern day equivalents. The main metal loop of brass and with a finely detailed repetitive pierced foliate design. Multiple strings of cut crystal, with large lozenge shaped pieces giving way to an elegant and graduated run of octagonal cut pieces.....all terminating on a central brass rose, with central glass stud.

Dimensions:

A good sized piece: approx 38.5 cms diameter. 

Condition:

In fair condition, but needs completing and tidying. Of the glass fittings that are there, most are in good condition, but there is some minor nibbling and loss to some. The chandelier isn't quite complete, so some extra drops and links will need to be sourced, or the existing drops could be spaced apart slightly so that there are no obvious gaps. There are a few loose drops as shown, that need wiring and fitting.
