This silver plate set is from the Art Nouveau Period (1890-1910) and was made by Victor Silver Company.

The set includes the hair receiver (4" in diameter and 2" high with lid) and a type of dresser or powder box (4 1/2" in diameter and

3" high).

Each piece has a lid that reflects the traditional art nouveau styling. A woman with flowing hair, long dress wearing a rose on her bodice, decorates the box lid. Detailed roses and leaves surround a blank space. (I've seen this space engraved in the past.

The hair receiver lid has the same woman and roses that surround the hole in the top.

Both pieces are marked on the bottom "Victor Silver Company Quadruple Plate" and the number 34.

Alot of the silver plate is long gone, but the set is still beautiful! There are a few smooth dents, but nothing that breaks the metal. I tried to take photos, but the reflections couldn't identify the dents.
