For your consideration is a truly iconic bowl by GEORG JENSEN, STERLING SILVER, "Louvre" pattern (design 1912), DENMARK!  Moreover, I was lucky to find out 19B version, the largest and heaviest representative of the "Louvre" family. Hand-hammered old silver, perfectly clear Jensen and Denmark sterling marks, never monogrammed treasure...

The Louvre bowl (designed and registered between 1910-1912) named after the acquisition of an example by Musée des Arts Décoratifs at Musée du Louvre in 1914, is one of Georg Jensen's best known designs. This example with later Danish marks reveals Jensen's combination of Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau styles.

The bowl had 3 versions, this auction is for the largest one. Even mid-size (19a, about 770 grams) was auctioned for $4000-6000. This versions was auctioned by the major auction houses in the range of $6000-10,000. You can check out my price report or simply open sold items by Sotheby's, Christie's, and other auctions. As you can see, even on-line prices are over 6k, so it's safe to say that my asking price is the lowest one on the market! However, please don't be confused - this is 100% authentic Jensen, legendary pattern, biggest version (19B), and fantastic, never-monogrammed condition!

Dimensions: it's about 9 5/8" wide, 7 3/4" tall

Condition: Very Good to Excellent original estate condition. It's old solid sterling silver, used with extreme care and love. It has some lightest scratches & patina, consistent with age and use. Surfaces have some roughness (hand-hammered), marks are clear, NO monograms! NO repairs! Museum pattern and iconic maker! My images are current and real, what you see is precisely what you get.
