This sleeveless leather jacket – or jerkin – was once standard British army issue after its 1916 introduction into WWI even having an officers version. This new reintroducion of the classic shooting jacket has two outer and one inner pocket with wool linings. Fastened by four large, substantial buttons, the thickness, durability and quality of the hides used are highest quality as is the construction and attention to detail.Designed to be worn over a fleece, or thick flannel shirt, as a versatile over garment to withstand the rigors of general outdoor gamekeeping/shooting and as an additional layer of protection when out and about on farm vehicles.
It is sized chest 40 but remember it is designed to go over other clothing. I normally measure a 44chest and put this item on me to photograph.
We have noticed a very small scratch on the leayher as below 2pence piece on picture, of little significance in leather of this quality. Difficult to notice at all. Please compare with new similar items online.
