If your fabric is snagging, then maybe all you need is a new needle plate. You will be surprised how a new plate can work miracles.
This plate will help stop the needle poking the fabric down the hole when you sew your quilt pieces. Also helps stop problems with breaking threads, fabric snagging, burrs, etc. Also it is marked in inches.
