A great find, this rare and unusual antique shield-shape sconce shade is fabricated from silk with metallic threads, giving it an iridescent bronzy glow. Trimmed with lace and twisted ribbon, and accented in the center with a metallic gold bullion tassel. Clip shade can be used on a sconce, candlestick, or light fixture. Measures approximately 6 inches high by 5 inches wide. 

Good condition for its age, with no tears in the silk in front, and a split in the silk lining in back that is visible in the photos. Lace trim is worn in spots. Flaws do not detract from the charm of this beautiful object!
