She worked for many years as a children's bookseller and now combines writing with schools visits, reading and giving workshops at festivals, and teaching creative writing. She is the Children's Literary Advisor to Listowel Writers' Week and was writer in residence for Dn Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in 2016/2017. For more, Steve McCarthy is a Dublin-born art maker and obsessive picture-builder. With a keen interest in colour and character, Steve has managed to sneak his singular style into many forms, from Cartoon Saloon's Oscar-nominated feature film Song of the Sea to children's books and projects for brands worldwide. His work won Best Illustration at the IDI Irish Design Awards 2016. Author Biography

Sarah Webb is an award-winning children's writer. She won Irish Book awards for Blazing a Trail: Irish Women who Changed the World (illustrated by Lauren O'Neill) and A Sailor Went to Sea, Sea, Sea: Favourite Rhymes from an Irish Childhood (illustrated by Steve McCarthy).Sarah runs creative writing clubs for young writers, reviews children's books for the Irish Independent, programmes many children's and family events and works part-time in a children's bookshop. Passionate about bringing children and books together, Sarah was awarded the Children's Books Ireland Award for Outstanding Contribution to Children's Books in Ireland.ve McCarthy is a Dublin-born art maker and obsessive picture-builder. With a keen interest in colour and character, Steve has managed to sneak his singular style into many forms, from Cartoon Saloon's Oscar-nominated feature film Song of the Sea to children's books and projects for brands worldwide. Description for Sales People

A collection of nursery rhymes, poems, street songs, chants, some international but mostly from traditional Irish sources aimed at a popular audience, as a treasured gift and for fun (hereinafter called the Work). The formats, wordage, and number of entries will be designed and worked out as a collaboration between the Publisher and the Author, based on the collection prepared by the Author. The target audience is young children (but older than that for the Author's previous title (with Claire Ranson, Sally Go Round the Stars)), their parents/guardians, schools, gift and tourist markets.
