This is a new brass replacement fuel tank shut-off valve and a new brass pipe bushing with a fine copper filter screen which fits all 1948 – 1952 Ford pickups and trucks except panel models and any large trucks that don’t have the factory behind the seat tank. Has 1/8” male pipe thread which is the same as the original valve. Also included is a new 1/8” x ¼” brass pipe bushing with an integral filter screen to replace the old bushing in the bottom of the tank.  For the fuel line connection, this valve has a 5/16” compression fitting (nut and ferrule). The original tubing connection to the original valve was a flare type which required a flare on the end of the tubing. This new valve only requires that you cut the 5/16” tubing, insert it into the compression fitting and then tighten the nut to complete the connection. Replace your old valve with leaky packing, frozen valve or valve that no longer shuts off with this brand new valve. Will work with copper or steel tubing. The fine copper filter screen will help prevent rust scale and other sediments from getting past the shut-off valve.
