This is a very rare black lacquer Cherry Wood Agfa-Ansco 5x7 Universal View Camera circa 1927, black bellows, folding camera.

Included are 6-5x7 film holders with RPT carry case, 4x5 reducing back, 8-4x5 film holders with RPT carry case, a Linhof Technika lens, 2 ft wire trigger, film-loading pouch-bag. The Ground Glass are pristine on both backs.

The Manfrotto QR plate is not included.

This camera is in fantastic condition, the brass is clean and smooth. The level trimmings work as intended. The lens is clean and the shutter settings operate normally, the Linhof Technika lens is possibly from the 1950-1960’s, the bellows is light-tight and still flexible and sturdy (no old aroma of any kind) its been stored in a smoke free stable environment.

Film holders have ready loaded film to be shot, the condition of the film is uncertain so it is recommended to start with fresh film. 5x7, 4x5 film can still be purchased online through B&H Photo.

The name plate: “Curtis Color Camera” Many Agfa-Ansco cameras during WWII had the plate removed due to anti-German sentiment, Agfa was a German company that merged with Ansco. I do not posses the original name plate.

This is an Agfa Ansco camera made in Binghamton NY circa 1927 as stamped on the base board of the camera (see image)

Please ask me as much as you can, this camera is robust unlike some rickety cameras on this site. It is a wonderful piece of American craftsmanship and still functional.

Free Fedex shipping with signature. Ground glass and replacement bellows can be found easily on ebay. No returns, items will be carefully shipped.
