MORE PHOTOS TO COME

Up for bid is a vintage Scholz Research & Development Rockman 220 stereo amplifier known as a PA 220 with 110 watts per side serial #216440. The amp has several scratches on the chassis as seen in the photos. This is direct from Boston stock and works perfectly.  There are ¼” jacks for inputs and outputs.

The winner of this auction will also receive a Tom Scholz Fender medium brown tortoise shell pick with Boston logo and Tom's name in gold.

INTRO:  My name is Jim Beauregard and I have worked with Tom since 1978. I was Tom’s guitar tech until the early nineties and still work for him part-time. Tom wants to pass these items on to Boston fans and Rockman collectors and will donate the proceeds to the DTS Charitable Foundation – a 501c3 registered charity founded by Tom in 1987. (http://dtscf.com) To date, over 40 organizations ranging from children's hunger programs to animal protection causes have received donations totaling over 4 million dollars.

For his charitable work, Tom has received awards from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Friends of Animals, The National Hospice Organization, the Action for Life Conference (Mahatma Gandhi Award), The Ark Trust, and most recently the Animal Rights 2007 Conference.

Because most administrative functions are either paid for directly by Tom or volunteered, the foundation has an exceptional record of nearly 100% of assets being used to fund programs. Because the foundation does not solicit funds from the public, there are no fundraising costs.

In the next few months, I will be auctioning off many rare and collectible items from the vault
