A beautiful, working Cesare Villari Capo Di Monte style table lamp in very delicate biscuit porcelain with a brass light fitting and hand-painted gilt/gold detail which is possibly 18-carat gold which is a Villari trade mark, but this isn't guaranteed and hasn't been verified.  The lamp is signed and marked on the underside.

C. Villari Capodimonte - (girl with goose) in biscuit baroque porcelain.  We believe this to be a piece made by Cesare Villari himself as the serial number, beginning with 0, indicates that it is a 'Épreuve d’Artiste', meaning that it is a piece by the master himself.

Villari was founded in the late 1960s and continues today as a family business. Many of their works are Capodimonte reproductions - some of the best in the world - giving them a well-deserved place among the greatest exponents of the art of Italian porcelain. Their work is not only inspired by Capodimonte porcelain, but also by the Italian Baroque style.  Each piece is finished with the utmost care and in minute detail, using and high-quality, specialist oil-based paint. They are then generally finished with 18-karat gold.

Dimensions
35cm tall x 15cm diameter at the base.

Condition: Good condition - the lamp itself is in good order and works. Please be aware though that the porcelain is very delicate. There is a little loss around the edges and a little loss of gold/gilding. On the whole though, she's rather lovely but please see the photos as these form part of the description.
