What's the deal with refurbished

This instrument was either an overstock or was deemed by the factory to have an imperfection. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument we sell and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. The guitar is stamped “used” on the back of the headstock but the original serial number is present and not tampered with. These are like new with little or zero play wear!

 

The Breedlove Organic Artista Series takes luxury to a new level, with gold frets and tuners, brass inlays and an African ebony fingerboard capping a Hard Rock maple neck. The latter, denser than mahogany, couples with Breedlove’s favorite tone platform, Oregon myrtlewood, to create an instrument as sonically powerful as it is visually beautiful—with a thin Natural Shadow Burst finish and dark walnut binding setting off each unique, varied and colorful back and side. Torrified European spruce tops with African ebony bridges work with myrtle’s magic fusion of rosewood thump, mahogany warmth and maple brilliance to deliver a balanced, high energy, ultra-responsive playing experience.

This particular guitar has some glue residue visible around the neck heel, and a couple of spots near the endpin where the finish has sunk slightly into the woodgrain. There is a small scratch on the side of the body and a small scuff on the tip of the headstock. We have included a close-up photo of each imperfection so you can take a look!

 

How Does It Play

We have given this instrument a thorough pro setup to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready for you. The string action measures 7/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret and 6/64” on the high E without any buzz. It’s not necessarily the lowest-playing guitar out there, but it plays nicely and leaves you plenty of room to play hard before any string buzz.
