Ancient Flemish panel Madonna and Child oil painting 17th century

Ancient Flemish table from the first half of the 17th century. Oil painted work depicting a splendid Madonna with child inside a niche surrounded by a garland of masterfully painted flowers and fruits. It has a symbol carved on the back of the panel referable to the Guild of Saint Luke (lacking authenticity), a guild of artists active in Antwerp during the Baroque period. The composition follows the style of Cornelis Schut (1597-1655), a pupil of Rubens, and both were members of the guild together with the greatest painters of the Golden Age of the Netherlands. 20th century frame in carved, lacquered and gilded wood, with some signs of aging (see photo). Auf der Rückseite der Tafel ist ein Symbol eingraviert, das sich auf die Lukasgilde bezieht (keine Authentizität), eine Künstlergilde, die während der Barockzeit in Antwerpen aktiv war. Die Komposition folgt dem Stil von Cornelis Schut (1597-1655), einem Schüler von Rubens, und beide waren zusammen mit den größten Malern des Goldenen Zeitalters der Niederlande Mitglieder dieser Zunft.
