Very Fine c1920s Japanese Kutani Gilt Floral Wine Ewer Jug Pitcher Vase

Presented is a lovely Japanese Kutani porcelain wine ewer or pitcher, dating to
around the 1920s-1930s, possibly earlier. The ewer is made in a classical round
bodied form with a long tapered neck. The ewer is white with delicate pink
flowers and green leaf designs done densely over the entirety of the body. The
flowers and leaves have gilt detailing, the flowers even have some raised white
enamel details on the leaves, and raised gilt texturing in the centers, really
an incredible amount of care and craftsmanship went into this piece. The handle,
spout, mouth, and foot are richly gold gilt in a matte finish, with an archaistic flourish between the spout and neck, reminiscent of ancient Chinese forms.

This piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no
breaks, and no repairs.

This piece is signed 'Kutani' on the underside in red, in Japanese
characters.

The ewer stands about 8 1/2 inches tall and measures about 6 inches from
handle to spout, or about 4 1/4 inches in diameter around the body.
