1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18C replacement Windshield and De-seemed Canopy cut from casting blocks ready to mask and spray.

For you to Consideration;

Front tinted windshield and Canopy cast in UV stable, Polyurethane Opticast water clear casting resin. Tinting has been done to replicate the front windshield as on the real aircraft shown in many images on the internet.

Ever messed up the cockpit glazing on the home straight, by cracking the clear canopy or experienced fogging while polishing!

Ever purchased a kit from eBay and on inspection found that the plastic canopy is duff. 😫

Hasegawa parts are notorious for becoming detached from the carrier sprue and rattling around inside the bag and getting damaged.

This PU canopy will replace the kit part and the fraction of the price to replace a broken glazed part from the manufacturer, if you can even locate a spare.

Small tweaks can easily be made, by placing canopy in hot water and moulding while pliable.

 Please Note: Aircraft is NOT included in this sale and is for illustration only! Canopy is not glued to the airframe in any of these images, nor airframe as it's my on going project and is just taped together.

I have cast these canopies in a lightly tinted obsidian to replicate the real aircraft windshield.

Please contact me if you wish for a clear main Canopy or different colour tint such as a darker obsidian (as shown in some images) smoky quartz, green or even amethyst as these can be cast in any colour to order.

Cast in extremely limited numbers, please allow up to 10 days as stated in delivery, to allow for curing time.
