Very rare original issue: May 17th 1923 issue of The American Motorcycle Magazine - Motorcycling & Bicycle Illustrated - 85% of this edition is motorcycle content, good clean condition for age, the paper looks much better and brighter in the hand than my photos at 72 dpi show - evidence of moister at some point although magazine paper is still decent slight wrinkling in a few places and contact rip on back page as seen. The magazine is also still very bright condition with clean white pages. 38 pages large 12 x 9 inch format, with high quality printing and paper, this is an absolutely superb edition of this magazine. It is a fascinating look back at the world of American motorcycling and bicycling of 101 years ago, it is filled with great period articles and weekly features and and information on all things for the motorcyclist of early to mid 1920's etc. Great period photos throughout and some stunning full page advertising and superb features in this issue are - six days trials becomes international, Perkins beats Miguel, all aboard the gypsy tours, a motorcycle marathon, who is Remaley, POP Greater makes ‘em go, John Q steely’s system, among the dealers, what motorcycle clubs and riders are doing, a great insight into motorcycle riding at the first part of the last century, their are also other regular news items and features a really really superb issue and very rare !, plus pages of stunning full page advertising for all the period American motorcycles and proprietary parts makers, including, Harley Davidson, Morrow, Waco, Excelsior, Ace and more, a really super issue packed with superb photos and content and truly fascinating look back at the golden days of American Motorcycling.
