Late Victorian Dress, handmade reproduction circa 1895 poly-silk Day Dress.  I handmade this dress with a beautiful poly-silk emerald green fabric and it is fully lined in black cotton.  The dress was inspired by an 1895 picture of my 2nd great-grandmother.  The bodice and skirt were sewn with a machine and by hand using traditional sewing methods such as flat lining and all the seams are completely enclosed.  The dress was awarded three awards at the 2022 National Fair in Georgia: First Place, an Award of Excellence and Best in Category in the needle arts competition.  The dress took appoximately 92 hours to sew using nearly eight yards each of the fashion fabric and the lining.  The skirt is a "fan tail" with back pleats that hide the placket.  The skirt is slightly longer in the back and has a "dust ruffle" to protect the bottom of the skirt.  The bodice is closed with hooks and eyes down the front.  Check the pictures for measurements by tape measure.  The dress was made in an appoximate size 6.
I am selling it because I do not have room to store it and I want someone else to get enjoyment from wearing it.
