very rusty and needs sand blasting / chemical stripping - most of the chrome has flaked off - tools work fine and will clean up but some work is needed

From an unusual auto / barn find brought in to the crusher - 1983 733i in Bronze Beige Metallic 139 on tan - full options package A/T 53K original miles
auto plates expired 2006 - auto put in storage ( sultan of Brunei style ) wherever it was had moisture and a decent amount INSIDE the auto - outside looked ok / no dust or humidity rot but inside GONE everything rotten and solid mold
even the mice gave up ) some small signs in the trunk -
my guess someone passed away and someone else decided to "save" preserve their car - 16 years later THEY pass away and a third person has it looked at to get running - mechanics laugh ( kindly ) at this - auto totaled by being loved to death - this third person put new tires on it ( assume to get it rolling / flat bed towed - was informed of the news and sent to scrapper ( less tires / less tow / less diagnostic  - junk yard sale likely covered this but tires were ok but cheap BUT new ( had styling 13 rims ) the moisture inside the auto was bad enough to damage the trunk tool kit like this imagine the interior ALL interior ( trunk ) ate the fuses ( turned to green dust and snapped off ) everything rusty everything corroded - the seat springs rusted through and crumpled like dry spaghetti - leather rock hard / taco chip crunch - the only thing that stopped the mold was the blast furnace levels of heat that turned everything plastic / rubber / leather to hard rock candy -
anyway thats the story on the tool kit
this is an E 23 kit BUT might fit E24 6 series BUT those are more triangular shaped tray
Jack survived saved by grease / wheel chocks and tire iron rotten ( but issued to many so not rare )
and the tray did have the little blue BMW towel that turned to powder ( sigh )
nice kit for a budget / restore - clean and save $$$
