Albany
E. Howarth (1872-1936) Painter, Etcher and Printmaker. This is a rare fine original
drawing for the drypoint, of Abingdon on Thames. A view of the Thames and
riverbank to the foreground, with a boat yard, Nags Head pub, bridge and St
Helens church to the centre of the page. Titled and signed to the bottom of the
page.
Very
reasonable condition, showing age wear. Age toning, with slightly darker/yellow
toning under the mount, very minor handling, a couple of faint foxing spots and
other minor marks/blemishes. Also a slight dry sheen to the back of the paper
(not sticky)

measures 19.1cm x 19cm. total paper size 25.3cm x 24cm. Unframed. Posted with
later off white/cream mount, with hand drawn inner border. Minor marks
blemishes 36cm x 35.7cm.
